Do you have a mascot? If so, what's its name? And will the mascot be with you at Playoffs?
You might see a large pink stuffed unicorn wearing derby gear. Her name is Sparkles Momentum and she shows up at a lot of our away bouts.
Has your league experienced any retirements, transfers or injuries in the past year that have made a substantial difference in your league’s play and performance?
We have had some changes due to pregnancy (Deviant Behavior), retirement (Compton's Most Wanted, Elle Train, 12 Gauge, & Tera Bites), injuries (Nuke), geographical changes/moved (Whips Udaisy), and transfers (Eirinn Go Brawl & Ms. Jax'em). We love every one of our teammates and it is always sad to lose a skater no matter what the reason, but we have been very lucky. We have a training program for our travel team and have many skilled skaters ready to step up and fill the void. Deviant Behavior was able to return after she gave birth to her baby boy Stark and Nuke will be back on skates for the tournament.
What was the turning point for your league to make it to a playoff this season? Was there a BIG WIN that pushed your team over the edge?
We had two bouts early in 2013 that set the tone for the rest of the season. We came out with a big win over the DC Allstars in February and had a great game against Cincinnati's Black Sheep in April.
Real. Strong. Athletic. Revolutionary.
