North Central | Region Playoffs | |
Sept 14–16, 2012 — Niagara Falls, NY | Hosted by Queen City Roller Girls |
The Queen City Roller Girls are in their sixth season of flat track roller derby. The league consists of four home teams, a travel team, a junior derby team and a team consisting of new and undrafted players. The area is uniquely qualified to host the North Central Regional Tournament. Western New York is within easy driving distance to so many derby skaters from Canada, New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio.
We love Western New York and consider it a hidden gem; one we want to reveal to the derby world. It's a wonderful place to work and live and, of course, play roller derby. There’s no snow in Buffalo in September; only deep blue skies during warm, sunny days. One of the wonders of the world, Niagara Falls, attracts tourists from all over the world and the Convention Center of Niagara Falls is within a short walking distance from the park and all of its glories.
We have many outdoor activities including: camping, biking, hiking and skating trails, nature preserves to explore, water sports on Lakes Erie and Ontario (or a relaxing sailboat ride), and golf courses, among other outdoor sports. There are wine tours in the US or in Canada, architectural tours, our wonderful botanical gardens, the renowned Olmstead park system and many unique shopping areas.
Real. Strong. Athletic. Revolutionary.
