The bleacher seats of the Niagara Falls Conference & Event Center began to fill up during bout number two as the Mad Rollin’ Dolls Dairyland Dolls (#10) and the Cincinnati Rollergirls Black Sheep (#7) took to the track. From the first jam, it appeared that someone forgot to tell Madison they were the tenth seed. They took over and held on throughout the game, surprising many in the crowd as well as Cincinnati.

A beautiful day in downtown Niagara Falls, New York, served as the backdrop for an exciting start to the 2012 WFTDA North Central Region Playoffs and the official kickoff of WFTDA tournament season.

In the first bout of the first day of the three-day tournament, The Chicago Outfit (#8) and the Brewcity Bruisers (#9) waged a defensive battle on the concrete floor inside the Niagara Falls Conference & Event Center.
