WFTDA Board of Directors Statement on World Roller Games

September 4, 2017

In response to inquiries about the organization’s involvement with the World Roller Games 2017, WFTDA Board of Directors is publicly clarifying its position on the event. The Fédération Internationale Roller Sports (FIRS) is hosting this event, which is currently taking place in Nanjing, China, and includes 3 days of roller derby, played under a rule set other than The Rules of Flat Track Roller Derby.

WFTDA Adds 8 New Leagues, Surpasses 400 Members

July 12, 2017

The Women’s Flat Track Derby Association has extended full membership status to eight additional leagues today, following their successful completion of the WFTDA Apprentice Program. We’re excited to announce that with these most recent graduates, the WFTDA’s member league total has surpassed the 400 mark. We’re proud of how much we have grown as an organization since beginning with just a handful of leagues in 2005 and are looking forward to the continued development of the sport and the WFTDA community.

The WFTDA Board of Directors Gets First Non-North American Member

The WFTDA is proud to announce the election of Jennifer “Furrrocious” Zoë de Vaal as the new WFTDA Secretary. With a mid-year election following Eduskating Rita’s departure from the position, Furrrocious will serve the remainder of her term until Spring 2018.
