Bout 11: Carolina vs DC Rollergirls

DC (#10) holds off Carolina (#8)

Both the DC All Stars (#10), of Washington, DC and the Carolina Rollergirls (#8), of Raleigh, NC fought hard to get to this bout and both teams fought hard on the track. Carolina struck first but then four minutes into the bout, DC’s jammer Frightmare got the first power jam of the night. She wound her way through the pack again and again and pulled her team up and ahead of Carolina 29-11.

Montreal (#3) dances to win over Boston (#7)

Three minutes before the bout between Montreal’s New Skids on the Block (#3), Montreal, Quebec and the Boston Derby Dames (#7), Boston, MA began the DJ played LMFAO’s “I’m Sexy and I Know it.” If you know Montreal, you know that was an invitation to get down and get funky. In an atypical show of prebout camaraderie Boston and Montreal wiggled and giggled together putting on a show for the fans complete with competing pushups and floor spins.

Bout 7: Steel City vs DC Rollergirls

DC (#10) upsets Steel City (#5)

The players were the same, but the play was very different.

The DC All Stars (#10), Washington, DC who showed up in today’s bout against Steel City Derby Demons (#5), Pittsburgh, PA should have played yesterday. DC held Steel City scoreless for 7 minutes until Steel City was able to earn lead jam and put 8 points on the scoreboard.
