This weekend, in addition to seeing the final three teams qualify for the 2013 WFTDA Division 1 Championships, roller derby fans will also learn what the first round matchups at Championships will be. The seeding will be unveiled live on WFTDA.tv Sunday evening.

Now that the first three rounds of WFTDA Division 1 Playoffs are complete, derby fans know nine of the 12 Division 1 teams advancing to WFTDA Championships in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Nov. 8-10.

The WFTDA is excited to extend full membership status to 14 additional leagues today, following their successful completion of the WFTDA Apprentice Program. The new Class C members can now enjoy the benefits of full WFTDA membership, including competing in sanctioned games and being eligible for rankings. This group includes the organization's first full member leagues in New Zealand and Norway.

Ten of the top teams in the WFTDA went head-to-head Sept. 6-8 in the first of four Division 1 Playoffs, held in Fort Wayne, Indiana, in a tournament packed with nailbiter games, upset wins and history-making moments.

iPhone and iPad users now can carry the latest Rules of Flat Track Roller Derby on their devices. An updated version of the WFTDA Rules App including the June 15, 2013, version of the Rules of Flat Track Roller Derby began rolling out through the App Store system last night and should be available for purchase worldwide by the end of the day today.
