iPhone and iPad users now can carry the latest Rules of Flat Track Roller Derby on their devices. An updated version of the WFTDA Rules App including the June 15, 2013, version of the Rules of Flat Track Roller Derby began rolling out through the App Store system last night and should be available for purchase worldwide by the end of the day today.
The app is developed and owned by Spenlen Media, using WFTDA-licensed material. A portion of the proceeds from app sales support the WFTDA.
Those who purchased the prior version of the app can download the update free of charge. For new purchasers, the app remains at $9.99 in the United States. Pricing varies in other countries.
The WFTDA Rules App provides you with the gold standard reference for flat track roller derby at your fingertips. The WFTDA Rules App includes the complete text of the official rules, track design, rules publications, referee hand signals, officiating documents, and minimum skills requirements, as well as the latest Rules Q&A, all in a compact, fully-searchable format.The app also includes helpful study aides, such as bookmarking and referee hand signal flash cards.
The WFTDA has a contract with a developer to create a similar app for Android users, which is expected to be available by the end of the year.
