Denver, Ohio, London advance to WFTDA Championships

Ten of the top teams in the WFTDA went head-to-head Sept. 6-8 in the first of four Division 1 Playoffs, held in Fort Wayne, Indiana, in a tournament packed with nailbiter games, upset wins and history-making moments.

The Denver Roller Dolls of Denver, Colorado,  took first place in the tournament. The Ohio Roller Girls, of Columbus, Ohio, took second place and the London Rollergirls of London, UK, finished third. All three teams will advance to the WFTDA Championships in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in November, and Denver earns a first round bye for placing first in the tournament.

The London Rollergirls are the first non-U.S. team in WFTDA history to make it to the WFTDA Championships.
