Q&A

What was the turning point for your league to make it to Playoffs this season? Was there a BIG WIN that pushed your team over the edge?
Texas plays with Playoffs and Champs in mind so our season is a reflection of how we got to this moment. As with any season, we learn most from our losses and adapt our play to be more dynamic and calculated. We’ve been working hard and are excited to play in Dallas.

Who are this year’s Captains of your travel team? What about them make them such good leaders?
We have two extremely talented and skilled skaters leading the Texecutioners this year in captain, Fifi Nomenon and co-captain, Smarty Pants. Each are highly dedicated to the success of the team, their own fitness and creating a game plan that employs the strength of each individual skater. Fifi’s enthusiasm and love of the sport is infectious; she’s able to share that with her teammates at practice and on game days. Smarty is relentless in her pursuit of perfectly executed strategy; she’s constantly using her strength and skill to improve our game-day performance. Together, they provide the team with a strong foundation heading into Playoffs.

Has your league experienced any retirements, transfers or injuries in the past year that have made a substantial difference in your league’s play and performance?
We’ve been fortunate to have had the same charter this year with the welcome addition of Jackie Daniels and Freight Train who have added their skill and strength to the roster. While there have been unexpected injuries this season, the team continues to focus on what we need to do: play strong, play smart and play together. So while skaters may change, the core of what makes Texas, Texas is still there.

Real. Strong. Athletic. Revolutionary.
