What was the turning point for your league to make it to Playoffs this season?
Our entire season has been focused on us making playoffs. We were ranked 107th mid season last year. At playoffs time last year we were 86th but had beaten 3 of the teams that made playoffs. That was what fueled us to make playoffs this year.
Has your league experienced any retirements, transfers or injuries in the past year that have made a substantial difference in your league’s play and performance?
Tackle Me Elmo [team captain] was injured in May. Jess Business was also sidelined with an injury a month later. Ironically due to the small size of our league, experienced quality skaters were able to fill the ranks so we don't foresee any change in level of play. When you practice with the best everyday, everyone gets good.
Who is the newest skater to your travel team? Your most veteran skater?
Our newest members of the travel team are Reverse Cowgirl, Lil' Scrap, and Anakin Skyblocker. All three are not only great players that have been practicing with the All Stars all year but specialists in one way or another during play. We also have ten skaters with over four years experience playing together. Having this much history with each other makes people think and work as one.
Real. Strong. Athletic. Revolutionary.
