Fast pace defined the final game of Bay of Reckoning between Denver Roller Dolls (#2) and the Oly Rollers (#4), which is mildly ironic considering that Denver introduced "slow play" tactics to the derby world at Championships in 2009. Denver used speed, however, to keep Oly from snatching easy points. The points were neck and neck until Denver's jammer Caitlin Krause scored 14 points as Oly's jammer Lindsey Lowblow was unable to break the pack for the jam's entirety. Denver's Sandrine Rangeon used her juking skills to stay in play a few jams later, extending Denver's lead to 34-15, and an Oly timeout ensued.

For the last ticket to WFTDA Championships, Grits and Glory, Rose City Rollers (#1) and tournament hosts B.ay A.rea D.erby Girls (#3) duked it out in one of the most anticipated bouts of the day. The first half was a tale of lead jammers. Rose took lead jammer the majority of the 24 jams in the first, and the two teams nickeled and dimed each other for the points that they accrued.

Though the teams have a history, Game 15 marked the first time Rocky Mountain Rollergirls (#5) and Rat City Rollergirls (#6) have met in 2012. It was just as close as people predicted it would be. The tight pack play, both from the scrum start and pivot line starts, made scoring points for either team difficult, but Rocky took lead after the first several jams, despite Rat City making lead jammer the majority out of the 25 jams in the first.

Sacred City Derby Girls (#10) took an early lead in Game 14 of Day 3 against Angel City Derby Girls (#8). The game to determine seventh place was hotly contested and would place either winner in a higher seed than where they entered the tournament.

The ninth place bout between Arizona Roller Derby (#7) and Wasatch Roller Derby (#9) started off at Day 3 of Bay of Reckoning at the Craneway Pavilion. The first half was a back-and-forth of lead changes between the AZRD Tent City Terrors and the Wasatch Midnight Terror. Wasatch established a lead after the initial jams for the majority of the first, but Arizona regrouped in the last few jams, taking the lead in the 21st jam of the period and carrying that through the half, 78-69.
Real. Strong. Athletic. Revolutionary.
