The Women’s Flat Track Derby Association has agreed with ESPN3 to deliver two broadcast events in 2016: a Division 1 doubleheader from the Emerald City Roller Girls’ (Eugene, OR) WFTDA-Recognized Tournament, The Big O, on April 30; and the final round of the 2016 International WFTDA Championships hosted by the Rose City Rollers (Portland, OR) on November 6. Both events will be streamed live in the United States through ESPN3 and on WFTDA.tv outside of the US, making these matchups easily accessible to millions of households worldwide.

The WFTDA leadership is making an explicit commitment to improving diversity and inclusion within the WFTDA. We believe that the member-approved gender statement demonstrates that -- with respect to the important and sometimes controversial issues that face our organization -- the WFTDA is able to learn, change, and grow. With the involvement of the WFTDA and wider roller derby community, we are committed to continuing these efforts.

The latest WFTDA team rankings were released today, incorporating the results of games played through March 31, 2016.

The Women's Flat Track Derby Association is excited to extend full membership status to 14 additional leagues today, following their successful completion of the WFTDA Apprentice Program.

Based on membership feedback and support, the WFTDA Rules Committee has released the following rules clarifications to The Rules of Flat Track Roller Derby, Second Edition (Jan 2015) which are effective as of March 1, 2016.
