Here we will introduce you to a different league every month, and tell you a little more about their accomplishments and contributions to the organization and the sport of women's flat track roller derby.

December 2011 Featured League: Gotham Girls Roller Derby

Hailing from New York City, this league of hard working, committed skaters has been building a legacy since 2003. They face challenges (such as finding space) and reap the benefits (lots of interested skaters) of their location in a bustling metropolis. In addition to establishing themselves through a variety of outreach programs as a valuable member of the NY community, they produce their own bout coverage, which is broadcast on local television, and they are the first repeat winners of the annual WFTDA Championship tournament. November 2011 Featured League: Naptown Roller Girls

The Naptown Roller Girls have already made a name for themselves in their hometown of Indianapolis, and in 2011, they are attracting the attention of the derby world. This month, they are in it to win it at the WFTDA Championship tournament in Broomfield, CO. October 2011 Featured League: Green Country Roller Girls

The Green Country Roller Girls watched every minute of this year’s East and West Region Playoffs in preparation for their first appearance at a WFTDA Big 5 tournament – Show Me Der-B-Q in Kansas City, MO. With a new coach, two big 2011 wins over tough opponents, and a consistent rise through the ranks of the South Central region, they earned their place at the South Central Region Playoffs. September 2011 Featured League: Charm City Roller Girls

We may have missed the most recent opportunity to eat cake at a roller derby bout, but the Charm City Roller Girls have more fun planned for fans when they co-host this year’s East Region Playoffs (with the DC Rollergirls). August 2011 Featured League: Jet City Rollergirls

The Jet City Rollergirls have experienced a “roller coaster” season in 2011, and have worked hard to remain consistently competitive in one of the U.S.’s most derby-heavy regions, the Pacific Northwest.
