WFTDA runs on the power of its member leagues. Each league brings something different and special to the organization. Here we will introduce you to a different league every month, and tell you a little more about their accomplishments and contributions to the organization and the sport of women's flat track roller derby.

February 2014 Featured League: Slaughter County Roller Vixens

slaughter-county The Slaughter County Roller Vixens will host the fifth annual installment of their Wild West Showdown tournament in 2014. As they prepare for this staple event of the derby calendar, the league is also preparing for a breakout year with some major changes: twelve returning skaters and a number of fresh meat skaters completing boot camp in January. January 2014 Featured League: Pirate City Rollers

They’re not walking the plank. Instead, the Pirate City Rollers are establishing another first: they are the first full member WFTDA league in New Zealand. When they’re not taking advantage of their many waterfront skating trails, the Pirate City Rollers are working hard to maintain their reputation as a hard hitting and hard-working league. In addition to developing their own talent, the Pirates lend their coaching prowess to leagues across New Zealand. And they’re sure to always bring the Pirate sass. November 2013 Featured League: Sac City Rollers

Hailing from Sacramento, California the SAC City Rollers were founded in 2006 and have been striving since then to increase their competitive profile in the roller derby world as well as giving back to the community as a non-profit organization. Boasting approximately 150 skaters, four home teams, two travel teams, and a junior league, the Cherry City Derby Girls have a robust league with a promising future. With the support of other Oregon-based WFTDA leagues, the Cherry City Derby Girls have been able to learn from the best, while building a fan base in Salem, as well as the larger roller derby community. September 2013 Featured League: Blue Ridge Rollergirls

Blue Ridge Rollergirls have made their mark on WFTDA, climbing up the rankings to become a top D2 team in just over a year since becoming full members. At home, these skaters have made quite the impact on their small town and earned themselves a great reputation along the way. This fall, they will be building their reputation in the WFTDA as they host Division Playoffs in Asheville, North Carolina and compete at 2013 Championships to play for 3rd Place in Division 2.
