On the track, the Omaha Rollergirls are tough, smart competitors – a reputation that has helped their All Stars steadily improve their WFTDA rankings each year. By taking on challenging opponents and multi-bout weekends, the league has prepared for the highest levels of roller derby competition. Off the track, the Omaha Rollergirls show their dedication to giving back in a variety of ways, including their annual Poker Run, and affiliation with local junior and rec leagues. In six seasons, the Omaha Rollergirls have consistently shown their dedication to strategy, teamwork, and winning. Founded in 2006, the Jacksonville RollerGirls have worked hard to build a team that balances competitive game play with community involvement. Whether it involves the formation of their own junior league or their annual toy drive, the Jacksonville RollerGirls have gone the distance to change the image of roller derby in their conservative and sprawling hometown. 2012 was a breakout year for the team as they made their first appearance at the South Central Region Playoffs, an achievement driven by determination, emotional “connection,” and a lot of heart! Hailing from the capital of the United States, the DC Rollergirls boast an impressive 70+ skaters, four home teams, a B team, and their WFTDA chartered All-Stars who made quite an impression at the 2012 East Region Playoffs. Located on the southeastern tip of Finland, Helsinki is the home of Helsinki Roller Derby. HRD graduated to full WFTDA membership in July 2012, and the league has worked hard to not only distinguish itself in the highly competitive East Region, but also to promote the sport of roller derby in Finland.
