Windy City Rollers Win North Central Regionals

The #1 seeded Windy City Rollers held on to their top spot in the North Central Region with a solid 150-56 win over #3 seed Mad Rollin' Dolls in the championship game of the Brawl of America Sunday, Sept. 20. Madison upset #2 seed Detroit Derby Girls in the semifinals Saturday to advance to the championship.

The tournament also featured the first-ever regulation bout between tournament hosts Minnesota RollerGirls and their cross-town rivals, the North Star Roller Girls.

The Brawl of America was dedicated to the memory of North Star Roller Girls skater Stacey Morgan (Moxie Mayhem), who was killed in an accident the day before the tournament started.
