North Star Roller Derby

Minneapolis MN

North Star Roller Girls are a skater owned and operated roller derby league based in Minneapolis. Now in their 11th season, the North Star Roller Girls have built a legacy of roller derby in Minneapolis!

NSRG formed in June of 2006 as an offshoot of the now defunct TC Rollers. They loved skating together but desired the control of being skater owned and operated. By December 2006, NSRG had grown to include the four home teams that exist today: the Banger Sisters, the Delta Delta Di, the Kilmore Girls, and the Violent Femmes. Two years later, NSRG joined the WFTDA. NSRG also fields two travel teams, WFTDA charter team the Supernovas, and the Northern Lights. Since 2012, NSRG also includes a recreational team, the Satellites.

Mission Statement North Star Roller Girls, a skater owned and operated league in Minneapolis, promotes athleticism through roller derby. We empower women by exhibiting a positive image both on the track and in the community.

Real. Strong. Athletic. Revolutionary.
