Transportation Information

By Air

Salt Lake International Airport (SLC) is America’s best airport, according to Travel + Leisure. Located just 4 miles from downtown Salt Lake, the airport is a major hub for Delta and Southwest Airlines, and both airlines offer nonstop flights from most major airports. Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Frontier, jetBlue, SkyWest, United and US Airways all serve Salt Lake International Airport. The airport also receives direct international flights from Canada, Mexico, France, Italy, and Japan.

By Train

Salt Lake City’s Amtrak station is located right downtown, within walking distance to all hotels and the Salt Palace Convention Center. It is located at 340 South 600 West.

By Bus

Salt Lake City’s Greyhound station is located downtown, within walking distance to all hotels and the Salt Palace Convention Center. It is located at 300 South 600 West.

UTA Trax

Once you arrive in Salt Lake City, a rental car won’t be necessary - Salt Lake’s light rail system, UTA Trax, runs from the airport to downtown, and the hotels and convention center are within a few blocks from the trax stations. The Convention District, which includes much of the downtown area, is a free-fare zone. The host hotels are within easy walking distance of the Salt Palace. Trax green line runs from the airport to downtown, costs $2.50, and is only a 15-minute to 20-minute ride. The hotel is just a few blocks from the Courthouse (450 S Main) Trax stop.

By Car

The Salt Palace Convention Center is located in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City, accessible by I-15 and the 600 South exit. The Salt Palace is located at 100 West Temple.

Taxi

Getting around downtown Salt Lake is extremely easy, and most locations are within walking distance, or within Trax’s free-fare zone, but if you need a cab, there are three reputable cab companies to choose from. The average fare from the airport to the hotel/Salt Palace is about $20 or less:

How to Get to the Hotel

BY TRAX LIGHT RAIL FROM SALT LAKE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT:
Take the 20-minute Green Line ride from the airport to downtown Salt Lake City - exit Trax at the Courthouse (450 S Main) stop. Walk to the Sheraton just half a block south, and a block-and-a-half west from the trax stop. Most downtown hotels are within easy walking distance to a TRAX stop. Cost: $2.50 one way. Cash or credit cards accepted at the platform kiosks.

BY CAR:
From I-15 (north or southbound), take the 600 South City Center exit and go straight ahead to West Temple. Turn left on West Temple, to 500 South (500 South is a one-way street). Turn left on 500 South. The Sheraton hotel is located on the north (right) side of the street, halfway down the block.
