D1 Playoffs | Sacramento, CA |
Sacred City Derby Girls were founded in the fall of 2006 in the spirit of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association’s, “by the skaters, for the skaters” mantra. In February of 2008 Sacred was accepted into the WFTDA.
In 2010, Sacred qualified for the WFTDA Playoffs for the first time and competed in a tournament that they also were hosting. The league is excited to once again bring a WFTDA tournament to California’s state capital!
The Sacred City Derby Girls were voted the ‘Best Sports Team in Sacramento’ in 2012 and continue to provide excellent sporting events to the Sacramento region. Sacred City has two travel teams - the Sacrificers (A team) and the Disciples (B team). Sacred City added three home teams in 2012 - The Roseville TrainWreckers, the Midtown Maulies and the Donna Party.
