Air

The Des Moines International Airport (DSM), located in the southern part of Des Moines, on Fleur Drive, offers nonstop service to destinations within the United States.

Train

The nearest Amtrak train station is in Osceola, about 40 miles (64 km) south of Des Moines. Trains on the route that passes through Osceola, the California Zephyr, go east to Chicago, Illinois, and west to Emeryville, California.

Bus

Greyhound Bus Lines, Jefferson Lines, and Megabus run long-distance, inter-city bus routes through Des Moines.

General Transportation Information

Downtown Des Moines is safe and enjoyable, whether you’re on foot, bike, skates, or you've got your own car—feel free to explore! The DART busses are running all weekend, Thursday and Friday you can hop on the free D-line shuttle to ride a loop on Grand Avenue and Locust from 17th on the west end of downtown to the east end by the gold dome of the Capitol. Otherwise visit the website; www.ridedart.com, for route details to get to the malls or areas outside of the downtown area.

For after parties, shuttles will be provided by the host league for tournament attendees to use. Shuttles will take attendees to and from off-site after party activities. Wristbands will be available for $3 at registration for unlimited rides while the shuttles are in service.

If you choose to explore Downtown Des Moines, there are multiple ways to get around. Public Transportation: Hop on the Subway. Just kidding, it’s Des Moines. You can only eat at Subway, not get around on one. However, the DART buses run all throughout the weekend and are very affordable. Taxis are also available.

Pedal Power: Bikes are available for rent all around Downtown Des Moines. 24 hour passes are $6.

Skywalks: Too hot for you? Walk all over Downtown Des Moines in our over 4 miles of climate-controlled skywalks. Skywalks connect nearly the entire downtown area and are easy to navigate.

Automobile: If you bring a car with you, don’t worry, one thing that Des Moines doesn't lack is parking spots and ramps.
