AUSTIN, TEXAS – Today, the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) publicly released the newest version of its Rules of Flat Track Roller Derby. All WFTDA-sanctioned games must be played under these new rules starting Jan. 1, 2013. This is the ninth edition of the WFTDA rules since 2006 and it marks the first comprehensive update in more than two years.

Top 40 Flat Track Roller Derby Teams Compete for Championship

AUSTIN, TEXAS – Fiercely talented skaters from the top 40 women’s flat track roller derby leagues in the world will compete for the sport’s greatest glory in the 2012 Women’s Flat Track Derby Association Playoffs and Championships this fall. The WFTDA is excited to announce this year’s Playoffs competitors, the top teams in their game play regions.

The Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) announced today that it will publish its sixth edition of standard rules for flat track roller derby this fall. The rules will go into effect January 1, 2013.

The WFTDA is staying apprised of some recent developments regarding the business structure of our Tulsa, Oklahoma, member league, the Green Country Roller Girls. The WFTDA is working with the active skaters in Tulsa to assess their plan for moving forward.
