Demolition City Roller Derby was founded as an LLC in 2007 and hosted its first official bout in 2008. DCRD was one of the first 10 leagues in the country to be accepted into the WFTDA Apprentice Program in September 2009 and became a full member of the WFTDA in June 2010.

DCRD is composed of two travel teams, the Dynamite Dolls (charter / “A” team) and the Destruction Dames (“B” Team). DCRD has filed for 501(c)(3) status and is awaiting the official response from the government.

The league’s commitment to training hard and playing harder is matched only by their dedication to supporting local charities and community service organizations. From the very beginning DCRD has given back to their community by making contributions, promoting public awareness, and volunteering their services to local charities and organizations.

DCRD was voted the #1 Sporting Event in Evansville in the Courier and Press newspaper Reader’s Choice awards for 2009, 2010, and 2011.
