Gotham, Philly, and Charm City Advance to Championships
The final two bouts of the 2010 East Region Playoffs featured rematches between the same teams that faced each other in 2009, but with some opposite results.
Gotham Girls Roller Derby, the #1 seed in the tournament, held off the Philly Roller Girls to claim the regional title. Last year Philly took the championship by a single point.

Gotham Girls Roller Derby, Philly Roller Girls, and Charm City Roller Girls will advance to the 2010 WFTDA National Championship following an exciting weekend of hard-hitting roller derby.
Day 3 Results
- DC Rollergirls (#10) 206
Dutchland Roller Derby (#9) 118
- DC picks up their first win of the weekend over struggling Dutchland. DC will gain one spot at No. 9, swapping with Dutchland who will become 10th in the East.
- Montreal Rollergirls (#6) 271
Providence Roller Derby (#8) 38
- Montreal shuts down Providence, who will remain at 8th in the East, Montreal falls one spot to No. 7 after a loss to Carolina on Saturday.
- Steel City Derby Demons (#5) 160
Carolina Rollergirls (#7) 121
- Charm City Roller Girls (#4) 162
Boston Derby Dames (#3) 128
- Charm City claims the final seed in the regional playoff in and 3rd in the East. Boston falls to 4th place in the region.
- Gotham Girls Roller Derby (#1) 133
Philly Roller Girls (#2) 103
- Gotham claims the No. 1 seed in the East going into the Championships. Philly will be seeded No. 2.
Regional action continues next weekend as Rollin’ on the River, the West Region Playoffs, start on Oct. 1 in Sacramento, Calif., hosted by the Sacred City Derby Girls. Information on that tournament can be found at http://rollinontheriver.net.
