WFTDA heads to the 'burbs for East Region Playoffs

WFTDA playoff season resumes Friday, Sept. 24, as the top 10 East Region teams head to White Plains, NY to battle it out on the track at Derby in the Burbs.

Lower-seeded teams are surely hoping for a repeat of the surprising, suspenseful bouts that were the story of the North Central Region Playoffs earlier this month. But to make it to the 2010 WFTDA Championship Tournament this November, they must unseat one of the three top-seeded East Region mainstays: Gotham Girls Roller Derby, Philly Roller Girls, and the Boston Derby Dames.

Once they are eliminated, teams will still be playing for pride and rankings. Other matches throughout the weekend will determine regional rankings.
