Beginning her derby career in Seattle nearly a decade ago, Swede Hurt got her start with the Jet City Rollergirls. After seeing her first WFTDA Championship, she knew she was hooked, knowing that she wanted to strive for the highest competition roller derby could offer. Since that rookie year, Swede Hurt has played on several top-ranking WFTDA teams, Team Sweden and has found time to turn her passion for the sport into coaching as well. Those who aren't familiar with Juniper Simonis (or "Junie") had the chance to meet them in a ESPNW.com article featuring the transgender community and inclusiveness in WFTDA. Since the start of their career, Junie has worked passionately to advocate for transgender and gender-non-conforming athletes across all sports, founding the TGI Athlete Network in that effort. Satan's Little Helper has been competing in contact sports from a very young age, so when she found roller derby in 2007 it seemed like a natural choice for her combination of skills and athleticism. Skating today with the Angel City Derby Girls, Satan's Little Helper has not only made a name for herself on the track with her dominating skills, but also off the track through her coaching and personal training.
