The WFTDA released its new WFTDA Sanctioning Policy document to compile and publicly communicate all WFTDA requirements to sanction games. In addition to defining and outlining WFTDA sanctioning policies and timelines, the document houses the new WFTDA Skater uniform number requirements.
The new requirements for Skater uniform numbers were approved by WFTDA Membership in November 2014 for implementation in the December 1, 2015, Rules of Flat Track Roller Derby revision. As a subsequent Membership ballot moved the revision cycle to every two years, the next applicable revision date was moved from December 2015 to December 2016.
As a result of the rules cycle change, the new uniform requirements are housed in this WFTDA Sanctioning Policy and enforceable for charter Skaters and teams for WFTDA-Sanctioned, Mock-Sanctioned and Strength Factor Challenge Games only. The inclusion of these changes in the Rules of Flat Track Roller Derby for all regulation games will be reviewed by WFTDA Membership for the December 1, 2016, rules release vote.
