WFTDA Officials Certification Releases New Evaluation Forms
December 10, 2015
The WFTDA Officials Certification Committee released redesigned officials evaluation forms based on Membership feedback to better serve the certification process.
The new evaluations:
- decrease the number of forms from eight to two. There is now one form for NSOs and one form for Referees. The evaluator will mark the position being evaluated.
- are PDF forms that have editable form fields so evaluators can complete, save and submit them online.
- support evaluators with more guidance to objectively evaluate Officials. There are basic yes/no questions that highlight the areas WFTDA Certification would like to evaluate, followed by a large open section for comments and specific examples of actions during a game.
- contain the Official's contact information so evaluators will easily be able to share completed evaluations with them, should they choose to do so.
- allow Officials to use the same form to provide a self-assessment or feedback on a particular game or game issue. When doing so, they should mark the evaluation type as "Other/Feedback" and should check the "Self-assessment" box at the bottom.
The new forms now replace the old forms on the Certification page and can be used for all games effective immediately. WFTDA Certification will accept old forms for games taking place after this date, but encourages everyone to transition to the new forms as quickly as possible.
Real. Strong. Athletic. Revolutionary.
