WFTDA Releases Corrections and New Online Version for Skater Rules Test

April 14, 2016

The WFTDA released an updated version of the WFTDA Skater Rules Test for The Rules of Flat Track Roller Derby (January 1, 2015 revision). This revision incorporates corrections to the test and clarifies some answers on the answer key. As this test contains only corrections, WFTDA leagues are not required to re-test all skaters who have passed the previous version of the test.

In addition to a revised written test, the WFTDA Online Learning team has created an online version of the same test. Leagues and skaters may choose to use the written or the online version.

On the online version, once the test is completed, the user should print a copy of their test results and submit it to their league administrator for credit. Optionally, the user may complete the Google Form at the end of the test to also submit results directly to the WFTDA. Any results submitted to WFTDA will be kept only as a backup to league administration of skater rules test results. Online tests work on both computers and mobile devices, however it is recommended that the test be completed on a computer as the print results function does not work on mobile devices.

The required score to pass the test is 80%. All skaters included on WFTDA Charter Teams are required to have passed the test prior to being added to the charter roster. Leagues may determine how they wish to administer the test (online or written) and how often they test skaters on the current version of the test.
