WFTDA Insurance is excited to announce expanded age bracket requirements for our junior roller derby leagues!
In our continued effort to develop insurance coverage that is convenient, affordable, and beneficial to our members, we’re excited to announce that the age bracket restrictions for juniors have been eased. Previously, leagues that opted to insure juniors through WFTDA Insurance had to separate juniors in three age groups: 6- to 8-year-olds, 9- to 12-year-olds, and 13- to 17-year-olds.
WFTDA Insurance is aware that leagues found these requirements to be somewhat restrictive and has worked with our insurance company to update the requirements. Effective immediately, the age requirements allow skaters from 6 to 11 years old to compete together, and skaters from 12 to 17 years old may compete together!
