The WFTDA, in connection with 187 Killer Pads, is administering a survey to better understand the perception and effectiveness of helmets in roller derby. The survey begins July 2 and the first round of data collection will conclude July 13. Participation from all roller derby skaters is encouraged and appreciated. Your voice will help provide valuable information to help shape the future of roller derby.
Results and insights gained through the survey will help advance helmet solutions for roller derby-specific uses. The survey will also be key to gaining critical information that will help the sport establish its own standards. Once the survey is concluded, 187 Killer Pads will work with the WFTDA Risk Management Committee to help bridge the gap between information and application. In the future, we hope this will result in better helmets for roller derby athletes.
