Game 1 featured #8 seed Duke City Derby in a close bout against #9 Tucson Roller Derby. Though they were separated by just one point at halftime, Tucson held strong in the second half taking the win at 134-120. Tucson went on to face #1 seed Oly Rollers later in the day.
Jet City Rollergirls (#7) and Sacred City Derby Girls (#10) delivered another nail biter in Game 2, as they entered the second half only three points apart and kept it close the entire bout. In the end, Jet City came out victorious, 124-111, and went on to face #2 Rocky Mountain Rollergirls in Game 6.
Rose City Rollers (#4) came out strong in the first half of Game 3 against Rat City Rollergirls (#5), heading into halftime more than 40 points ahead. In the second half, Rat City was able to close the gap to a respectable 12 points, but were unable to take the lead, giving Rose City the win at 121-104.
Game 3 featured the first upset of the tournament, as #6 seed B.ay A.rea D.erby Girls defeated #3 Denver Roller Dolls in a hard-hitting, action packed bout. The score was tied heading into the second half and stayed close until the end when B.A.D. pulled out the upset victory over DRD at 132-128.
Game 5 featured few surprises as #1 seed Oly Rollers completely dominated over #9 Tucson the entire game. The final score was 267-19, with Oly advancing to play Rose City in Game 9 Saturday.
The final bout of the day featured #2 seed Rocky Mountain Rollergirls against #7 Jet City in another blowout. Jet City fought hard and came out strong in the second half, but were unable to close the gap. In the end, Rocky Mountain came out victorious at 211-72, and will advance to play B.A.D. In Game 10 on Saturday.
