Hot Action On The Track For Chicago's Roller Derby Leagues

April 30, 2010

CHICAGO, IL - Spring is here and we're leaving the house much more frequently to enjoy what this city has to offer, including a pair of roller derby leagues, both of whom have bouts coming up.

The WFTDA's number one ranked North Central Region league, the Windy City Rollers are geared up for their fifth bout of the season this Saturday. The first place Double-Crossers (3-1) have a big match-up against last year's champs, the Manic Attackers (2-2). The Crossers won their first meeting this season by a 105-84 final, so the Manics will be seeking revenge. The Crossers aren't alone atop of the standings: The Fury also hold a 3-1 mark and take on the struggling Hell's Belles (0-4) who have shown improvement over the course of a season of rebuilding. The Fury dominated the Bells 162-65 earlier in the year so the Belles will have something to prove. The actions hits the floor rolling at 6 p.m., so get their early to catch all the fun.
