MINNEAPOLIS, MN - Mayor R.T. Rybak has proclaimed April 10, 2010 as North Star Supernovas Day in the city of Minneapolis.
There will be a reading of the Mayor's proclamation before the start of the North Star Roller Girls' final intra-league bout on April 10 at the Minneapolis Convention Center, around 6:45pm.
Starting April 17, the Supernovas begin their second year as national competitors in the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA), which is made up of women's roller derby leagues across the country that take part in interleague games. Currently the North Star Supernovas are ranked 5th in the North Central region out of 19 teams.
