The third day of the 2011 West Region Playoffs opened with an upset, as former #10 Angel City Derby Girls beat Tucson Roller Derby, taking their spot at #9. However, the higher seeds would prevail the rest of the day.
Rose City Rollers will attend the WFTDA Championship tournament for the first time, defeating Rat City Rollergirls for 3rd in the West. For Rose City jammer Soulfearic Acid, it was a long time coming.
"It's a tremendous amount of relief because we had all this pressure of not meeting expectations last year...and it feels like all our work has come to fruition," Acid said after the game.
Oly Rollers, #1 going into playoffs, bested defending WFTDA Champions and #2 seed, Rocky Mountain Rollergirls, to hold their spot as the #1 team in the West going into the 2011 WFTDA Championships. Oly held the 2009 WFTDA Championship title, and came in second to Rocky Mountain in 2010.

Sacred City Derby Girls and Jet City Rollergirls leave the tournament in the same spot they came in: #7 and #8, respectively.
Denver Roller Dolls 171 (#3)

Denver defeated Bay Area, but ultimately slips two spots to #5 in the West; Bay Area slips one spot to #6.
Rose City Rollers 186 (#4)
Rat City Rollergirls 134 (#6)
Rose City advances to #3 in the West and wins a shot at Championships; Rat City climbs two spots to #4.
Oly Rollers 143 (#1)
Rocky Mountain 106 (#2)
The Oly Rollers hold their spot at #1 in the West going into Championships; Rocky Mountain will defend their WFTDA Championship title in their hometown, Denver, CO at Continental Divide and Conquer.
