Tucson Roller Derby Saddletramps of Tucson, AZ, USA (seed #6, WFTDA #51) showed up early for the first game of Day 2 at the 2016 International WFTDA D2 Playoffs in Wichita, Kansas, USA to challenge the Chicago Outfit Roller Derby Syndicate of Chicago, IL, USA (seed #9, WFTDA #60) to stay out of the ninth place game, early Sunday morning. Tucson deftly worked through their jamming rotations and strong blocking to defeat the Syndicate, 220-86.

The Brandywine Roller Girls Belligerents of Downingtown, PA, USA (seed #4, WFTDA #47) nearly doubled the score of their opponent, the Kansas City Roller Warriors All-Stars of Kansas City, MO, USA (seed #5, WFTDA #50) on Friday in Game 6 of the 2016 International WFTDA Division 2 Playoffs Wichita. Brandywine won, 223-112.

Jet City Rollergirls of Everett, WA, USA (seed #1, WFTDA #42) came to the track with fresh legs to battle the Boulder County Bombers of Longmont, CO, USA (seed #8, WFTDA #58) for a berth to the semi-final game at 2 p.m. Saturday. In a game that Jet City dominated, Boulder County rallied in the final moments, but came up short; Jet City advances in tournament play after winning 175-160.

The Music City All Stars from Nashville Rollergirls of Nashville, TN, USA (seed #3, WFTDA #46) faced off against the Saddletramps of Tucson Roller Derby from Tucson, AZ, USA (seed #6, WFTDA #51) during Game 3 of the 2016 International WFTDA D2 Playoffs in Wichita. Nashville eked out a narrow win over the Tucson Saddletramps, and a slim three-point lead showed on the scoreboard at the game’s conclusion, 152-149.
