This coming weekend in Vancouver will be a bracket full of teams who have their eyes on the prize: the top three exit spots. Yes, that could be said of every tournament weekend, but this particular playoff has a number of teams that are particularly motivated to make it to the top.

Road to Playoffs: D1 Columbia

The first weekend of Division 1 Playoffs in Montréal has set the bar high for the remaining tournaments and Columbia looks like it will follow suit. This will be the post season debut for Rainy City and Ann Arbor, and the 2015 WFTDA Champs Rose City Rollers will top off the bracket. The top three finishers from this weekend will join London, Texas, and Montreal at Championships in Portland this November.

Road to Playoffs: D1 Montréal

After two exciting Division 2 weekends full of upsets, the Division 1 tournaments will begin in Montréal, the first time a D1 tournament has been held outside the United States. With plenty of international variety in this bracket, five different countries will be represented with London holding the top seed. With teams traveling long distances to participate, many of them have had short seasons due to financial limitations, giving them the potential to surprise their competitors. History has proved that we won't likely see a #7 seed make it all the way to the Championship game on Sunday like in the D2 brackets, but anything is possible. The top three placing teams will get a spot at Championships in Portland this November.
