Tournament Official Eligibility Guidelines

Tournament Head Ref (THR)

Championships

• WFTDA Certified Skating Official Level 4 or higher (Level 5 preferred)
• Must have performed as a CHR at a D1 (or historical equivalent) WFTDA Playoff Tournament or WFTDA Championship Tournament
• Must have performed as a Skating Official in at least 12 WFTDA Sanctioned/Regulation bouts in the last 12 months from date of application

D1 Playoffs

• WFTDA Certified Skating Official Level 4 or higher
• Must have performed as a CHR at a D1 (or historical equivalent) WFTDA Playoff Tournament or WFTDA Championship Tournament
• Must have performed as a Skating Official in at least 10 WFTDA Sanctioned/Regulation bouts in the last 12 months from date of application

D2 Playoffs

• WFTDA Certified Skating Official Level 3 or higher
• Must have performed as a CHR at a D1/D2 (or historical equivalent) WFTDA Playoff Tournament or WFTDA Championship Tournament
• Must have performed as a Skating Official in at least 10 WFTDA Sanctioned/Regulation bouts in the last 12 months from date of application

Tournament Head NSO (THNSO)

Championships

• WFTDA Certified NSO Level 2 or higher
• Must have performed as a CHNSO at a D1 (or historical equivalent) WFTDA Playoff Tournament or WFTDA Championship Tournament
• Must have performed as a Non-Skating Official in at least 12 WFTDA Sanctioned/Regulation bouts in the last 12 months from date of application

D1 Playoffs

• WFTDA Certified NSO Level 2 or higher
• Must have performed as a CHNSO at a D1 (or historical equivalent) WFTDA Playoff Tournament or WFTDA Championship Tournament
• Must have performed as a Non-Skating Official in at least 10 WFTDA Sanctioned/Regulation bouts in the last 12 months from date of application

D2 Playoffs

• WFTDA Certified NSO Level 2 or higher
• Must have performed as a CHNSO at a D1/D2 (or historical equivalent) WFTDA Playoff Tournament or WFTDA Championship Tournament
• Must have performed as a Non-Skating Official in at least 10 WFTDA Sanctioned/Regulation bouts in the last 12 months from date of application

Skating Official

Championships

• WFTDA Certified Skating Official Level 3 or higher
• Must have performed as a Skating Official or THR in at least one of the same year’s D1 Playoffs
• Must have performed as a Skating Official in at least 12 WFTDA Sanctioned/Regulation bouts in the last 12 months from date of application*
• Must have performed as a Skating Official in the specific role(s) applied for in at least 10 WFTDA Sanctioned/Regulation bouts in the last 24 months from the date of application.*

D1 Playoffs

• WFTDA Certified Skating Official Level 2 or higher
• Must have performed as a Skating Official in at least 10 WFTDA Sanctioned/Regulation bouts in the last 12 months from date of application*
• Must have performed as a Skating Official in the specific role applied for in at least 10 WFTDA Sanctioned/Regulation bouts in the last 24 months from the date of application.*

D2 Playoffs

• WFTDA Certified Skating Official Level 2 or higher
• Must have performed as a Skating Official in at least 10 WFTDA Sanctioned/Regulation bouts in the last 12 months from date of application*
• Must have performed as a Skating Official in the specific role applied for in at least 10 WFTDA Sanctioned/Regulation bouts in the last 24 months from the date of application.*

NonSkating Official (NSO)

Championships

• WFTDA Certified NSO Level 2 or higher preferred, but not mandatory
• Must have performed as a Non-Skating Official or THNSO in at least one of the same year’s D1 Playoffs
• Must have performed as a Non-Skating Official in at least 12 WFTDA Sanctioned/Regulation bouts in the last 12 months from date of application*
• Must have performed as a Non-Skating Official in the specific NSO Family role applied for in at least 8 WFTDA Sanctioned/Regulation bouts in the last 24 months from the date of application.*

D1 Playoffs

• WFTDA Certified NSO Level 2 or higher preferred, but not mandatory
• Must have performed as a Non-Skating Official in at least 10 WFTDA Sanctioned/Regulation bouts in the last 12 months from date of application*
• Must have performed as a Non-Skating Official in the specific NSO Family role applied for in at least 6 WFTDA Sanctioned/Regulation bouts in the last 24 months from the date of application.*

D2 Playoffs

• WFTDA Certified NSO Level 2 or higher preferred, but not mandatory
• Must have performed as a Non-Skating Official in at least 10 WFTDA Sanctioned/Regulation bouts in the last 12 months from date of application*
• Must have performed as a Non-Skating Official in the specific NSO Family role applied for in at least 5 WFTDA Sanctioned/Regulation bouts in the last 24 months from the date of application.*

*Those who do not have the geographic accessibility to Sanctioned games or do not meet the requirement due to injury may be considered. This must be clearly noted on your application.

**If there is a lack of applicants meeting these qualifications, the Tournament Officials Selection Panel reserves the right to amend/alter the requirements until we have sufficient resources.
