Statistics from past WFTDA games that were recorded in Rinxter and are housed in the Stats Repository will become temporarily unavailable as the WFTDA begins migrating the data to a new system in March.
The WFTDA's agreement with Elliot Napakh and Rinxter to host and archive WFTDA game data ended this week. Since 2009, Elliot has been a groundbreaking leader in developing systems to gather and archive roller derby game data. Elliot has worked closely with the WFTDA to envision and develop roller derby data systems, and his work with Rinxter over these years has shaped the resources and capabilities of our community in terms of games data. The WFTDA would like to recognize and express our appreciation for all Elliot’s work, and for his leadership in developing this important aspect of the sport.
WFTDA is currently in the final development stages of a new system to collect live game data, and a new home for published game statistics from that data. All historical WFTDA data collected by Rinxter is owned by the WFTDA, and WFTDA will be migrating these games into the new system, once it launches.
As a result of the new system development, the Stats Repository will be offline for the month of March 2015. Users will not be able to view historical WFTDA games data on the Rinxter servers during this time. Those leagues looking to use Rinxter during this outage are advised to speak to Rinxter directly.
The WFTDA maintains an archive of all the historical games data, including data collected and published in Rinxter, but it will not be publicly viewable for the month of March.
