The Women’s Flat Track Derby Association has opened applications for Public Address and Broadcast Announcers who wish to participate in the 2015 International WFTDA Division 1 and Division 2 Playoffs and Championships.
There will be a two-stage application process for Playoffs and Championships. The first stage will be an application for consideration for the tournaments. Announcers selected for the pool will then receive an application for the respective locations of the 2015 International WFTDA Playoffs after tournament seeding is announced.
The WFTDA is also holding an open call for Tournament Head Announcers. The Tournament Head Announcers will be responsible for managing the announcers at each Playoff location, and at Championships. The Tournament Head Announcer application process will only consist of one stage, and applicants will be able to apply for a specific location(s) as they apply for the position of Tournament Head Announcer. Tournament Head Announcers will be hired before tournament seeding has been confirmed.
To apply for Public Address or Broadcast Announcer consideration for the tournaments, please fill out this application no later than June 28, 2015. If accepted for the Announcer Pool, a second application will be sent to apply for locations.
To apply for a Tournament Head Announcer position, please fill out this application before June 7, 2015.
Announcers who wish to both apply for consideration for the 2015 WFTDA Playoffs as well as Tournament Head Announcer must fill out both applications.
