The WFTDA has released The Strength Factor Challenge (SFC) Program. The SFC was designed by the WFTDA Rankings Committee to allow teams to use one game to challenge for a higher strength factor.
The program was rolled out for testing at the 2014 WFTDA European Tournament and 2015 Bont Invitational, and has since been used by 14 teams over the past 7 months to adjust their strength factor in the Rankings Calculator.
The SFC Program was initially designed as a response to teams (especially teams in more remote regions) that were having difficulty scheduling games because of a low or potentially undervalued strength factor. SFC games are effectively "one-sided sanctioned" games, and there is no rankings impact for either team.
This program is available to any WFTDA charter team that has met the requirements to be ranked, but is designed to assist newer teams that have the minimum strength factor, and teams that have been unsuccessful in securing sanctioned games due to a strength factor that is much lower than the team’s known ability.
Teams may only play one Strength Factor Challenge game in any 18 month period.
