Be Counted in the World Roller Derby Census

March 30, 2015

The WFTDA is spearheading a historic initiative to count and describe the breadth of the global roller derby community. The goal of this first-ever Census is to get a complete headcount of every participant in roller derby. To be counted, just answer these simple questions here. The Census does not collect any personal identification information.

The World Roller Derby Census is for anyone who has participated in any kind of roller derby as a skater, volunteer, announcer, official or any other capacity, at any time. Participants do not need to be WFTDA-affiliated; we are attempting to count every person, no matter where or how they are engaged with roller derby. This brief Census should take only a few minutes to complete and is available in Finnish, French, German, Greek, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Swedish, in addition to English.

All data in the Census will be captured anonymously and reported in aggregated form. The WFTDA will publish the Census results to the public this summer. Anyone may reference or use these data on the size and growth of roller derby, once it is published. A more complete demographic survey about roller derby skaters and fans will launch in early summer.

Please help us get the most accurate count possible by sharing this Census link: wftda.com/census and encouraging every roller derby participant you know to be counted.
