CHICAGO, IL - The Windy City Rollers are on something of a roll.
Chicago's only nationally ranked women's flat track roller derby league was recognized Wednesday by the City of Chicago.
A resolution at the City Council meeting — sponsored by alderman Mary Ann Smith (48th Ward) — honored WCR for ''enriching the City of Chicago and the nation with their sportsmanship, civic involvement, and empowerment of women.''
