The sport of women's roller derby is exploding in popularity, and its best athletes are gaining recognition around the world. Have you ever wanted to skate as a Mad Rollin' Doll, a Texecutioner, or a Gotham Girl? Roll in the skates of Suzy Hotrod or Rettig to Rumble? This game lets anyone be on their favorite team or be their favorite skater for a few laps around the track. Or, create your own custom skater and progress through a variety of entertaining levels and venues as you skate through a season.

The look and feel of the game, the teams, and the skaters were all developed in direct collaboration with the players.
The basic rules of roller derby are stretched to their limits with wild powerups and trick moves. It's WFTDA-style derby, with real skaters, and real teams - and a lot of extra fun thrown in.
This game is a major step forward in the history of modern roller derby. The WFTDA now joins the ranks of the world's major sporting properties with its own licensed video game franchise.
Jam City Rollergirls will be available via the WiiWare™ service for the Nintendo Wii™ console. Fans who own a Wii can download the game directly onto their console using the Wii Shop Channel. The game costs 1000 Wii Points™ ($10.00 USD).
The Wii Shop Channel is an online shop for the Wii video game console that allows users to download WiiWare games.
The January 24th release is to the North American and South American markets only; additional global releases are awaiting scheduling.
Frozen Codebase has provided this handy guide to connecting your Wii to the internet. If you have a wireless home connection, this is quite simple; hard-line connections require a Wii LAN adapter.
Once connected, go to the main Wii menu and find the Wii Shop Channel.
'Add Wii Points' to purchase credits or to redeem Wii Points. Then browse the WiiWare service for the Jam City Rollergirls title.
Go to your nearest video game or electronics retailer and purchase a 'Nintendo Points Card' for at least 1000 points ($10). Then you can print this handy custom-designed card holder on heavy stock for handsome framing of the Points Card.
The characters in the initial release of Jam City Rollergirls are modeled after real WFTDA teams and real WFTDA skaters, incorporating elements of the athletes’ personal style – even down to the level of their unique tattoos. Lace up their skates, or create your own custom skater!
