The final game of the 2016 International WFTDA Division 2 Playoffs Lansing brought the Calgary Roller Derby Association All Stars from the fifth seed (WFTDA #52) and the Charlottesville Derby Dames All Stars from the seventh seed (WFTDA #53) all the way up to the championship match. The two teams had already earned their place at the WFTDA Championships in November after ascending the bracket in undefeated performances, but this game would determine who would be going home from Lansing with a gold medal and who would take the silver.

In the third place game of the 2016 International WFTDA Division 2 Playoffs Lansing, Wasatch Roller Derby Midnight Terror (seed #3, WFTDA #45) from Salt Lake City, UT, USA hoped to retain their third place seeding while the Charm City Roller Girls All-Stars from Baltimore, MD USA (seed #1, WFTDA #33) aimed to prove that their loss to the Calgary All-Stars on Saturday was an anomaly. Hardware was on the line for this game since the team placing third would receive a medal, and Charm earned theirs with a 197-194 win after an intense battle.

The battle for 5th place brought us the first tournament rematch of the 2016 International WFTDA Division 2 Playoffs Lansing, where Tri-City Roller Derby Tri-City Thunder (seed #9, WFTDA #59) from Kitchener, ON Canada went up against the Bear City Berlin Bombshells (seed #8, WFTDA #56) from Berlin, Germany. Both teams had faced each other Friday morning in Game 1, when Bear City won 235-140 before moving on to a tough loss against the #1 seed Charm City Roller Girls. Meanwhile, Tri-City made the long skate up the consolation bracket to earn their rematch. By the end of the first half it looked like they might win the rematch, but Bear City rallied in the second half to snatch back the lead and win 177-153.

The 7th place game of 2016 International WFTDA Division 2 Playoffs Lansing saw two high seeds, second seed Sac City Capitol Punishers of Sacramento, California, and the fourth seed Cincinnati Black Sheep of Cincinnati, Ohio, playing for a modicum of redemption. Sac City can leave the tournament with their heads held high after taking seventh place and the game, 220-174.

Sunday morning of the 2016 International WFTDA Division 2 Playoffs Lansing pitted the Nidaros Roller Derby Allstars of Trondheim, Norway (seed #6, WFTDA #52) against the Grand Raggidy Roller Derby All Stars of Grand Rapids, MI USA (seed #10, WFTDA #61) in a battle for 9th place. Grand Raggidy was hoping to place higher than their #10 seeding, but Nidaros consistently held a tight lead and ultimately came out ahead, 168-137.
