Old Capitol City Roller Derby

Old Capitol City Roller Derby is a league of members who wish to represent Iowa City with integrity, pride, and goodwill through a unique cultural outlet. We also aim to be strong, athletic, confident role models for our community by demonstrating comradeship, charity, and teamwork.

OCCRD formed in November of 2008 and became a WFTDA member league at the start of 2012. We have worked hard to become a competitive team within the WFTDA with a goal of making playoffs. Alongside our charter team, the All-Stars, we have also developed a "B-Team", our Ped Maulers, which provides a chance for more people to get time on the track and to push the skill level of our whole group. We practice and bout at the Coralville Marriott Convention Center in Coralville, Iowa, and have members from the Iowa City, Coralville and Cedar Rapids area. We generally host games in the spring and fall.
