Saint John NB, Canada
The Fog City Rollers are an all female flat track league based out of Saint John, New Brunswick. The league was founded in February 2010 by Darla Derringer and Suzie Skinher. They held two Meet & Greets within two months and over 40 women attended the first practice in April of 2010, thus proving the need for a Saint John Roller Derby league! League management is made up of skaters who have been democratically elected by the league, and a Director of Finance, Director of Personnel, Director of Marketing, and Director of Operations. Relevant committees report to their respective directors. The mission of the Fog City Rollers is to empower the women of Saint John New Brunswick and provide them with a healthy outlet for female competitiveness through the sport of flat track roller derby. We strive to be a do it yourself organization, run by the skaters, and to provide assistance with some of the city’s most fundamental causes and concerns through our community service work. During the summer each team has practice twice a week for two hours at Stu Hurley Arena. In the winter when the ice goes in to the rinks we practice at Millidgeville School in Saint John.
Real. Strong. Athletic. Revolutionary.
